Slow Cooker Sticky Glazed Wings

🍗🍯✨ Slow Cooker Sticky Glazed Wings

Tender chicken wings coated in a sweet, glossy honey-barbecue glaze—made with just four ingredients!

⏱️ Prep Time: 10 minutes
🔥 Cook Time: 3–4 hours on LOW, plus reducing the sauce and a brief broil
🍽️ Servings: 4–6

🛒 Ingredients

  • 3 lb (1.36 kg) chicken wing flats (wingettes), thawed and patted dry
  • 1 cup (240 ml) barbecue sauce
  • ½ cup (120 ml) honey
  • 2 tablespoons (30 ml) soy sauce

👩‍🍳 Instructions

1️⃣ ADD THE WINGS
Place the chicken wing flats in a 6-quart slow cooker.

2️⃣ ADD THE BARBECUE SAUCE
Pour the barbecue sauce evenly over the wings.

3️⃣ ADD THE HONEY
Drizzle the honey over the wings and barbecue sauce.

4️⃣ ADD THE SOY SAUCE
Pour in the soy sauce, then gently toss everything to coat the wings evenly.

5️⃣ SLOW COOK
Cover and cook on LOW for approximately 3–4 hours, until tender and the thickest part of the wings reaches 165°F (74°C), measured without touching the bone. Cooking time varies by slow cooker.

6️⃣ THICKEN THE GLAZE
Carefully transfer the cooked wings to a foil-lined, broiler-safe metal baking sheet. Pour the cooking sauce into a saucepan and skim off excess surface fat. Bring to a boil, then simmer, stirring occasionally, until thick enough to coat the wings.

7️⃣ COAT AND BROIL
Brush the wings with the reduced glaze. Broil approximately 6 inches from the heat for 2–4 minutes, until glossy and lightly caramelized. Watch closely because the sweet glaze browns quickly.

8️⃣ SERVE
Brush with a little more glaze if desired and serve hot.

💡 Tip:
Lift the cooked wings gently with tongs or a wide spatula to keep their shape intact.
