Slow Cooker Creamy Garlic Parmesan Pork Chops

Ingredients

  • 4 bone-in pork chops (about 1 inch thick)
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup low-sodium chicken broth
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 tablespoons cream cheese, softened (optional, for extra creaminess)
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 2 tablespoons water
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Season both sides of the pork chops with salt, black pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and Italian seasoning.
  2. Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Sear the pork chops for 2–3 minutes per side until golden brown. This step adds extra flavor but can be skipped if you’re short on time.
  3. Transfer the pork chops to the slow cooker.
  4. In the same skillet, sauté the minced garlic for about 30 seconds until fragrant. Pour in the chicken broth and scrape up any browned bits from the pan.
  5. Pour the broth mixture over the pork chops in the slow cooker.
  6. Cover and cook:

    • Low: 6–7 hours
    • High: 3–4 hours
  7. About 20–30 minutes before serving, whisk together the heavy cream, Parmesan cheese, and cream cheese until smooth. Stir the mixture into the slow cooker.
  8. Mix the cornstarch with the water to make a slurry, then stir it into the sauce to help thicken it.
  9. Cover and cook for another 20–30 minutes, or until the sauce is creamy and the pork chops are tender.
  10. Garnish with fresh parsley and serve hot.
