Jamaican Jerk Chicken Wings
Bold, Spicy, and Packed with Island Flavor
These Jamaican Jerk Chicken Wings are the ultimate crowd-pleaser—crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside, and bursting with bold, spicy Caribbean flavors. Perfect for game day, BBQs, or whenever you want a little heat!
Ingredients:
- 2 lbs chicken wings, split and tips removed
- 2 tablespoons Jamaican jerk seasoning (store-bought or homemade)
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
- 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional, for extra heat)
Instructions:
- Prep the Chicken Wings
Rinse and pat dry the chicken wings thoroughly. Removing excess moisture ensures crispy skin. - Marinate
In a large bowl, combine jerk seasoning, olive oil, soy sauce, smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, and cayenne pepper. Toss the wings in the mixture until well-coated. Cover and marinate for at least 1 hour, or overnight in the fridge for deeper flavor. - Preheat the Oven
Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or foil, and place a wire rack on top if you have one (this helps with air circulation and crisping). - Bake
Arrange the wings on the rack in a single layer. Bake for 40–45 minutes, flipping halfway through, until wings are cooked through and nicely charred around the edges. - Serve
Let rest for a few minutes before serving. Garnish with chopped scallions or a squeeze of lime juice for a fresh finish.
Tips:
- Want an extra kick? Add a splash of scotch bonnet hot sauce to the marinade.
- These wings can also be grilled for a smoky, authentic flavor—just cook over medium heat until charred and cooked through.
