Delicious Crispy Chicken Alfredo 🍗🍝
Ingredients:
For the Crispy Chicken:
4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
1 cup breadcrumbs
½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp paprika
2 eggs, beaten
Salt and pepper to taste
Olive oil for frying
For the Alfredo Sauce:
8 oz penne or fettuccine pasta
1 cup heavy cream
½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
3 cloves garlic, minced
2 tbsp butter
Salt and pepper to taste
Fresh parsley for garnish
Instructions:
1. Prepare the Chicken:
Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
Season the Chicken: Season the chicken breasts with salt and pepper.
Set Up Breading Station: In one bowl, place the beaten eggs. In another bowl, combine breadcrumbs, ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper.
Bread the Chicken: Dip each chicken breast into the egg, allowing excess to drip off, then coat it in the breadcrumb mixture. Ensure each breast is well-covered.
2. Fry the Chicken:
Heat Oil: In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. The oil should be hot enough that the breading sizzles upon contact.
Cook Chicken: Fry each chicken breast for 4-5 minutes on each side, or until golden brown and cooked through. You may need to do this in batches. Transfer fried chicken to a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil.
3. Cook the Pasta:
Boil Water: In a large pot, bring salted water to a boil.
Cook Pasta: Add the penne or fettuccine and cook according to the package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
4. Make the Alfredo Sauce:
Sauté Garlic: In the same skillet used for the chicken, melt butter over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant (about 1 minute).
Add Cream and Cheese: Pour in the heavy cream, stirring to combine. Bring to a gentle simmer, then reduce the heat. Stir in the ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese until melted and creamy. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
5. Combine:
Toss Pasta: Add the drained pasta to the Alfredo sauce and toss until well coated.
6. Serve:
Plate the Dish: Serve the creamy pasta topped with crispy chicken breasts.
Garnish: Sprinkle with fresh parsley for a pop of color and extra flavor.
