Garlic Butter Lobster & Scallops

Garlic Butter Lobster & Scallops

This luxurious seafood dish features tender lobster tails and golden-seared scallops, all smothered in a rich garlic butter sauce with lemon and paprika. It’s elegant, flavorful, and surprisingly simple to make.

Ingredients

For the Lobster:

  • 2 lobster tails
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp fresh lemon juice
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste

For the Scallops:

  • 8 large scallops, cleaned and patted dry
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

1. Prepare the Lobster Tails:

  • Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
  • Cut the top shell of each lobster tail lengthwise to expose the meat.
  • Gently lift the meat over the shell but keep it attached at the base.
  • In a bowl, mix melted butter, garlic, lemon juice, paprika, salt, and pepper.
  • Brush lobster meat generously with garlic butter, reserving some for later.
  • Bake for 12–15 minutes, until meat is opaque and cooked through.

2. Cook the Scallops:

  • While lobster bakes, heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat.
  • Season scallops with salt and pepper.
  • Sear for 2–3 minutes per side, until golden brown. Do not overcrowd the pan.
  • Remove from skillet and set aside.

3. Combine and Serve:

  • Brush cooked lobster with reserved garlic butter.
  • Plate lobster with scallops, drizzle with remaining sauce, and garnish with parsley.
  • Serve with lemon wedges.

Tips:

  • Add a pinch of red pepper flakes for heat.
  • Stir in a splash of heavy cream for a creamy finish.
  • Pat scallops dry to get that perfect sear.
