°2 chicken thighs
°4 unpeeled garlic cloves
°2 onions cut into wedges
°Olive oil
°juice of a lime
°2 tbsp Honey
°salt
°ground pepper
°2 tbsp chopped fresh cilantro
*Methods
Preheat the oven to 180 C (350 F). Heat a frying pan add the olive oil.
Add the onions and sauté until translucent.
Rinse and dry the chicken thighs well. Place in a baking dish.
Add the onions, salt and pepper. Add cilantro mixed with lemon juice and mix well. I add special chicken spices but it remains optional (Chicken Montreal).
Pour the honey into a small cup and brush the chicken thighs with a kitchen brush. Add the jacketed garlic cloves.
Drizzle with olive oil and bake in the middle of the oven. You can add half a glass of water.
While cooking, baste the chicken thighs with the sauce. Cook the thighs for approximately 1h00 – 1h30, the flesh should come off easily.
Serve with vegetables or mashed potatoes.
