Steak in Creamy Cajun Shrimp Sauce

Ingredients:

4 steaks (ribeye or filet mignon)
Salt and pepper to taste
2 tbsp olive oil
1/2 pound shrimp, peeled and deveined
2 tbsp butter
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 cup heavy cream
1 tbsp Cajun seasoning
1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
Fresh parsley, chopped

Instructions:

Season the Steaks: Season the steaks with salt and pepper on both sides.

Sear the Steaks: Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Sear the steaks for 3-4 minutes on each side or until they reach your desired doneness. Remove the steaks from the skillet and set them aside.

Prepare the Shrimp: In the same skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and cook for about 1 minute, until fragrant.

Cook the Shrimp: Add the shrimp to the skillet and cook for 2-3 minutes, until they turn pink and are cooked through.

Make the Creamy Cajun Sauce: Pour in the heavy cream and add the Cajun seasoning. Stir well and let the sauce cook for about 3-5 minutes, or until it starts to thicken.

Add Parmesan Cheese: Stir in the grated Parmesan cheese and continue to cook, stirring occasionally, until the cheese is melted and the sauce is smooth.

Serve: Place the seared steaks on plates, top each steak with the creamy Cajun shrimp sauce, and garnish with freshly chopped parsley.
