Ingredients:
For the Burgers:
2 lbs Ground chuck (80/20 blend)
Seasoned salt, to taste
Garlic powder, to taste
Brioche buns, for serving
White American cheese slices
Colby jack cheese slices
Lettuce, for serving
Tomatoes, sliced, for serving
For the Bacon Bourbon Jam:
6-8 strips hickory bacon, chopped
2 tbsp bourbon
2 tbsp honey
1 tbsp maple vinegar (or red wine vinegar as a substitute)
2 tbsp brown sugar
½ cup onion, diced
3 cloves garlic, minced
For the Burger Sauce:
1 cup mayo
2 tbsp sweet relish
2 tbsp ketchup
1 tbsp hot sauce
2 tsp garlic paste
Instructions:
- Prepare the Bacon Bourbon Jam:
In a skillet over medium heat, cook the chopped hickory bacon until crisp. Remove the bacon and set it aside.
In the same skillet, add bourbon, honey, vinegar, brown sugar, diced onion, and minced garlic. Cook until the onions are soft and the mixture has thickened.
Add the bacon back to the skillet, mix well, and set aside. - Make the Burger Sauce:
In a bowl, combine the mayo, sweet relish, ketchup, hot sauce, and garlic paste. Mix well and set aside. - Prepare the Burgers:
Season the ground chuck with seasoned salt and garlic powder.
Form the seasoned meat into patties. Place a slice of White American cheese and a slice of Colby jack cheese in the center of each patty. Fold the meat around the cheese to seal it completely. - Cook the Burgers:
Grill or pan-fry the stuffed burgers over medium heat until they reach your desired doneness, ensuring the cheese inside melts into a gooey center. - Assemble the Burgers:
On a brioche bun, layer lettuce and sliced tomato. Place the cooked burger on top.
Add a generous spoonful of bacon bourbon jam over the burger.
Finish with a dollop of the prepared burger sauce. Serve and enjoy!
