Sausage Cream Cheese Crescents

1 lb ground sausage
1 package (8 oz) cream cheese, softened
2 cans (8 oz each) refrigerated crescent rolls
1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese

8 ounces cream cheese, softened
1 package refrigerated crescent roll dough
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese (optional)
1 teaspoon garlic powder (optional)
Fresh chives or parsley for garnish (optional)


Instructions:

Preheat the Oven:

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
Cook the Sausage:

In a skillet over medium heat, cook the sausage until browned and cooked through. Drain any excess fat and let it cool slightly.
Mix the Filling:

In a bowl, combine the cooked sausage, softened cream cheese, shredded cheddar cheese (if using), and garlic powder. Mix until well combined.
Prepare the Crescents:

Unroll the crescent roll dough and separate it into triangles on a baking sheet.
Fill and Roll:

Spoon about 1-2 tablespoons of the sausage mixture onto the wide end of each crescent triangle. Roll the dough up, starting from the wide end, and place them on the baking sheet with the pointed end facing down.
Bake:

Bake in the preheated oven for about 12-15 minutes, or until the crescents are golden brown.
Serve:

Remove from the oven and let cool slightly. Garnish with fresh chives or parsley if desired. Serve warm.
