Teriyaki Surf and Turf Stir-Fry

A Sweet and Savory One-Wok Wonder

Looking for a quick, satisfying dinner with the perfect balance of protein, crisp veggies, and bold teriyaki flavor? This Teriyaki Surf and Turf Stir-Fry brings together tender beef, succulent shrimp, and colorful vegetables in one sizzling skillet for a weeknight meal that’s both healthy and packed with flavor. Serve it over steamed rice for the ultimate Asian-inspired comfort food.

Ingredients:

  • 8 oz beef sirloin, thinly sliced
  • 8 oz large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • ½ cup teriyaki sauce
  • 1 cup broccoli florets
  • 1 red bell pepper, thinly sliced
  • 1 yellow bell pepper, thinly sliced
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste
  • Steamed rice, for serving

Instructions:

1. Marinate the Beef and Shrimp

In a medium bowl, toss the sliced beef and shrimp with the teriyaki sauce. Cover and let marinate in the fridge for 15–30 minutes to absorb all that sweet and savory flavor.

2. Heat the Wok

Place a wok or large skillet over high heat. Add the vegetable oil and allow it to get hot and shimmering.

3. Sear the Proteins

Add the marinated beef and shrimp to the hot wok. Stir-fry for 3–5 minutes, or until the beef is nicely browned and the shrimp are pink and cooked through. Transfer them to a plate and set aside.

4. Cook the Vegetables

In the same wok, add the broccoli and sliced bell peppers. Stir-fry for 3–4 minutes until just crisp-tender, keeping their vibrant color and crunch.

5. Combine and Finish

Return the cooked beef and shrimp to the wok. Stir everything together so the vegetables and proteins are coated with the remaining teriyaki sauce. Season with a pinch of salt and pepper if needed.

6. Serve and Enjoy

Serve hot over a bed of freshly steamed rice. Garnish with sesame seeds or green onions if desired.
