Ingredients

For the Lobster Tails

  • 2 lobster tails
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 teaspoons Cajun seasoning
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • Juice of half a lemon
  • Fresh parsley, finely chopped (for garnish)

For the Creamy Garlic Pasta

  • 8 oz fettuccine or linguine
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste
  • Pinch of red pepper flakes (optional)

For the Roasted Asparagus

  • 1 bunch asparagus, ends trimmed
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Juice of half a lemon

Instructions

1. Prepare the Lobster Tails

Using kitchen shears, cut down the center of the top shell of each lobster tail. Gently pull the meat above the shell, leaving it attached at the base to create a butterfly effect for a beautiful presentation.

2. Make the Cajun Butter

In a small bowl, mix the melted butter, Cajun seasoning, minced garlic, and lemon juice. Brush the mixture generously over the exposed lobster meat.

3. Broil the Lobster

Place the prepared lobster tails on a baking sheet. Broil on high for 8–10 minutes, or until the meat is opaque and lightly charred, basting once halfway through. Sprinkle with freshly chopped parsley.

4. Cook the Pasta

Boil the pasta in salted water until al dente. Drain, reserving about ½ cup of the pasta water for later.

5. Make the Creamy Garlic Sauce

In a large skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté for 1–2 minutes until fragrant. Pour in the heavy cream and bring to a gentle simmer. Stir in the Parmesan cheese and season with salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes if using. Add the cooked pasta and toss well, using the reserved pasta water to loosen the sauce as needed.

6. Roast the Asparagus

Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C). Toss the asparagus with olive oil, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Arrange on a baking sheet and roast for 12–15 minutes, until tender and slightly crisp. Finish with a squeeze of fresh lemon juice.

7. Assemble and Serve

Plate the creamy garlic pasta, place the broiled lobster tails on top, and serve the roasted asparagus on the side. For extra flavor, drizzle any remaining Cajun butter over the lobster and pasta.
