Spaghetti with Pepper Cream, Chorizo & Shrimp
Ingredients:
Pasta:
250g spaghetti
Proteins:
150g chorizo, cut into cubes
200g peeled shrimp
Vegetables:
1 red bell pepper, diced
1 onion, chopped
2 garlic cloves, crushed
Sauce:
200ml thick sour cream
Olive oil (for sautéing)
Salt (to taste)
Pepper (to taste)
Preparation Steps:
Cook the Spaghetti:
Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil and cook the spaghetti according to the package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
Sauté Aromatics:
In a large skillet, heat a tablespoon of olive oil over medium heat.
Add the chopped onion and crushed garlic. Sauté until the onion is translucent and fragrant, about 3-4 minutes.
Add Chorizo and Pepper:
Stir in the chorizo and diced red bell pepper. Cook for approximately 5 minutes, allowing the chorizo to brown and the pepper to soften.
Incorporate the Shrimp:
Add the peeled shrimp to the skillet. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes, or until the shrimp turn pink and are cooked through.
Prepare the Sauce:
Reduce the heat to low. Stir in the thick sour cream, mixing well to combine. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
Combine Everything:
Gently fold the drained spaghetti into the skillet, ensuring the pasta is well-coated with the creamy sauce and evenly mixed with the chorizo, shrimp, and peppers.
Serve:
Plate the dish hot and garnish with additional black pepper or fresh herbs if desired. Enjoy your delicious meal!
