Beef Broccoli with Noodles

Ingredients

  • 1 lb beef sirloin or flank steak, thinly sliced
  • 3 cups broccoli florets
  • 1 large carrot, peeled and thinly sliced
  • 8 oz egg noodles or spaghetti
  • 3 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons oyster sauce
  • 2 teaspoons cornstarch
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 3 tablespoons vegetable oil (divided)
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 4 garlic cloves, minced
  • Salt and pepper, to taste

Instructions

1. Cook the Noodles

  1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil.
  2. Add the noodles and cook according to package instructions (7–9 minutes).
  3. Drain and set aside.

2. Make the Sauce

  1. In a small bowl, whisk together soy sauce, oyster sauce, cornstarch, and beef broth.
  2. Stir until the cornstarch is fully dissolved and the sauce is smooth.

3. Cook the Beef

  1. Heat 2 tablespoons of vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat.
  2. Add sliced beef and cook for 2–3 minutes until browned and just cooked through.
  3. Remove the beef from the skillet and set aside.

4. Sauté the Vegetables

  1. In the same skillet, add the remaining 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil.
  2. Add minced garlic and sauté for 30 seconds until fragrant.
  3. Add broccoli and carrots. Cook for 4–5 minutes until vegetables are tender-crisp.

5. Combine Everything

  1. Return the beef to the skillet with the vegetables.
  2. Pour in the sauce and stir well to coat.
  3. Cook for another 2–3 minutes until the sauce thickens.

6. Add the Noodles

  1. Add cooked noodles to the skillet.
  2. Drizzle sesame oil over the top and toss everything together to combine.

7. Final Seasoning

  1. Taste and adjust seasoning with salt and pepper as needed.
  2. Serve hot and enjoy!

Tip: For extra flavor, garnish with sliced green onions or sesame seeds.
