Ingredients:

200 g of cream cheese, softened
50 g of unsalted butter, softened
250 g of powdered sugar, sifted
1–2 tablespoons of lemon juice (to taste)
Zest of one lemon

Instructions for the Cake:

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F). Grease and flour an 8-inch round cake pan.
Mix Dry Ingredients: In a bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and a pinch of salt. Set aside.
Cream Butter and Sugar: In a large mixing bowl, beat the soft butter and sugar together until light and fluffy.
Add Eggs: Add the eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition.
Incorporate Yogurt and Flavorings: Mix in the yogurt (or liquid cream), lemon zest, lemon juice, and vanilla extract until combined.
Combine Mixtures: Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring gently until just combined.
Add Blueberries: Gently fold in fresh or frozen blueberries (about 1 cup), being careful not to overmix.
Bake: Pour the batter into the prepared pan. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
Cool: Allow the cake to cool in the pan for about 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.

Blend Ingredients: In a medium bowl, beat the softened cream cheese and butter together until smooth.
Add Sugar and Flavoring: Gradually add the powdered sugar, mixing at low speed until well combined. Add lemon juice and zest, and mix until smooth and creamy.
Adjust Texture: If the icing is too thick, add a little more lemon juice or a teaspoon of milk to reach your desired consistency.
Frost the Cake: Once the cake is completely cool, use a spatula to spread the icing over the top of the cake.
Decorate: If desired, top the cake with a few fresh blueberries for decoration.
