These heavenly vanilla cupcakes are incredibly soft, full of buttery flavor, and easy to make. Whether you serve them plain, stuff them with your favorite fillings, or top them with whipped cream and fruit, they’re the perfect treat for any occasion.
Why You’ll Love These Cupcakes:
- Soft and fluffy texture
- Rich buttery vanilla flavor
- Simple ingredients, quick preparation
- Easily customizable with fillings or frosting
Ingredients:
- 100g (¼ cup + 3 tbsp) unsalted butter, room temperature
- 100g (½ cup) granulated sugar
- ⅛ tsp salt
- 2 large eggs
- 1½ tsp pure vanilla extract
- 150g (1 cup) cake flour
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 100ml (about ⅓ cup + 1 tbsp) whole milk
Instructions:
- Preheat Oven
Preheat your oven to 330°F (165°C). Line a muffin tin with cupcake liners. - Cream the Butter and Sugar
In a mixing bowl, beat the softened butter, sugar, and salt using an electric mixer for about 5 minutes, or until the mixture is pale and fluffy. The sugar should begin to dissolve and the butter will look light yellow. - Add Eggs and Vanilla
Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Add the vanilla extract and beat for another 1–2 minutes until smooth. - Incorporate Dry Ingredients
Sift the cake flour and baking powder together. Gradually add this to the butter mixture. Mix just until incorporated — avoid overmixing. - Add Milk
Pour in the milk and gently mix until the batter is smooth and slightly dense. You should end up with a thick yet pipeable batter. - Fill the Cupcake Liners
Transfer the batter into a piping bag or use a spoon to fill each cupcake liner about ¾ full. - Bake
Bake for 15–20 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. The tops should be lightly golden. - Cool
Let the cupcakes cool in the pan for 5 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely before frosting or filling.
Optional: Add a Finishing Touch
These cupcakes are lovely on their own, but for extra indulgence, try topping them with buttercream frosting, whipped cream, or a dollop of fruit preserves.
