  • Cook Time: 20 minutes
  • Total Time: 35 minutes
  • Servings: 2

Ingredients

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • ½ cup white sugar
  • ¼ cup cold salted butter, cubed
  • ½ teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • ½ teaspoon baking powder
  • ¼ teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • Cooking spray
  • 2 ½ cups peeled, cored, and diced apples

Instructions

  1. Preheat your air fryer to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a medium bowl, combine flour, sugar, and butter. Use your hands to mix until the mixture becomes crumbly. Then stir in the cinnamon, baking powder, and nutmeg.
  3. Spray two 4 ½-inch ramekins with nonstick cooking spray.
  4. Assemble the crumble: Add a layer of the crumble mixture to the bottom of each ramekin. Top with a layer of diced apples. Repeat the layering process twice, finishing with a mound of crumble on top.
  5. Cover each ramekin with a large piece of foil, tucking the ends underneath to keep the foil secure during air frying.
  6. Cook in the air fryer:
    • Air fry for 16 to 20 minutes, or until the apples are tender.
    • Remove the foil and continue air frying for 2 to 4 minutes, until the crumble topping turns golden brown.
  7. Serve warm and enjoy your homemade air fryer apple crumble!

Tips for Success

  • Use tart apples like Granny Smith for a more balanced flavor.
