This recipe for chocolate “salami” is a fun and tasty treat that is great for parties or special occasions. It is made with crushed cookies, toasted walnuts, and a delicious chocolate mix, and it’s quite simple to make.
List of ingredients:
Amount of Ingredients
Maria crushed two packages of cookies weighing 4.9 ounces each.
One cup of finely chopped and toasted walnuts.
Two cups of chocolate chips.
1 cup of heavy cream
Butter, cut into small pieces, 1/3 cup.
Powdered sugar, to sprinkle, 1/3 cup.
Directions:
Make cookie crumbs by crushing Maria’s cookies finely either with a food processor or by putting them in a plastic bag and crushing them with a rolling pin.
Toast the chopped walnuts in a pan without oil until they smell good, for about 3-5 minutes. Stir often to avoid burning.
To melt chocolate, put chocolate chips, heavy cream, and pieces of butter in a saucepan on low heat. Keep stirring until the chocolate is completely melted and the mixture is smooth.
Mix the ingredients: Take the chocolate mixture off the heat and mix in crushed cookies and toasted walnuts until they are well combined.
Make a salami shape: Put a big piece of plastic wrap on a flat surface and move the chocolate mixture onto it. Form the mixture into a long or sausage shape, using the plastic wrap to assist in rolling it tightly. Twist the edges of the plastic wrap to close the log tightly.
Cool and let it sit: Put the chocolate salami in the fridge for 2-3 hours or until it becomes firm.
Finish preparing the chocolate salami by rolling it in powdered sugar until it is evenly coated. Serve it once ready. Cut the salami into slices and serve.
